The Formula 1 World Championship. The pinnacle of motor racing. Each Grand Prix a massive occasion, drawing roughly 60 million people worldwide to witness the craziest sporting event on the planet, as the 20 most talented drivers in the world battle for the biggest salary. Oh, and to join the exclusive club of world champions.
I haven’t been following this frighteningly fast moving (in every possible way) sport for all that long, but what I’ve seen in the past 5 years or so has left me an overly-addicted fan, with far too many opinions and far too little time. In an attempt to share some of these (usually Honda-biased) opinions, I set up a blog on Formula 1 in March 2008, which later that year became The F1 Files. A site aimed at not only providing the latest F1 news, but also reviewing the sport’s entire history. Ha! I guess I forgot about the “far too little time” bit.
The F1 Files continues though (although why it’s called that I’m not so sure any more), with the latest F1 news, opinions, rumours and reports all thrown into an RSS feed and updated as regularly as possible, supported with as much coverage of the current season as I can possibly provide. Don’t be afraid to tell me what I’m doing right and what I’m doing wrong because, in truth, this is all a big and slightly out of control experiment. And that makes it all the more fun.
